Dublin is a great city for sights and culture. Plenty of eateries and pubs with entertainment. There are always events on (we were there to see Eric Clapton) which are remarkably well organised. We ate at Rockets on the shores of the Liffey and it was just the typical American Diner experience. Dublin is a great city, manageable for walking throughout for those who are able with many local sights and restaurants to explore. For those who want to take day trips out to the city's surrounding areas: Howth, Wicklow and Boyne Valley are easy day trips. We walked and used public transportation, getting around town was easy.

Dublin has a lot to offer.
Dublin has a lot to offer. Tours that are fantastic like Trinity College and the library a must, Kilmainham Gaol, the museum of modern art. Day guided trips to other parts of Ireland are easy to book. The Cliffs of Moher, the Causeway and Belfast. Love the Irish people, they are great story tellers, and lovers of art and music. They also have a great sense of humour and so much warmth. But mostly I love their humble nature.

Dublin is still Dublin. The mix of Irish culture, music, people who welcome you like old friends, and the city's architecture and history are fascinating and addictive. The weather is obviously the downside if you are not used to and ready to handle the sudden changes between rain and sun, wind and low temperatures. It’s not walkable but it has lots of atmosphere.
